HeadshotMary Ann McDonnell, RN, MS, CS, FPNP, is licensed as a child and adolescent clinical nurse specialist and a family psychiatric nurse practitioner and has a PhD in Philosophy. She obtained her Associates of Science in Nursing Degree at Quincy College, her Bachelors of Science in Nursing Degree, Masters of Science in Nursing Degree, and her PhD in Philosophy at Northeastern University in Boston.

As the director of the clinical trials program in pediatric psychopharmacology research at Massachusetts General Hospital for over 10 years, Dr. McDonnell was a co-investigator of 81 research studies of psychiatric disorders and medications. She continues to conduct psychiatric research studies in her private practice, South Shore Psychiatric Services in Hingham, MA. Dr. McDonnell has been a professor of psychopharmacology in the graduate nursing program at Northeastern University for many years and continues to train and mentor psychiatric nurse practitioners in her practice. In her previous role as the founder and CEO of STEP UP for BP Kids, a nonprofit organization, Dr. McDonnell was able to provide education, training and support for families of children and adolescents in addition to launching a summer camp for children and adolescents with bipolar disorder.

She is the author of a book entitled “Is Your Child Bipolar” and “Positive Parenting for Bipolar Kids” and was an expert consultant for a series of 30 books on child and adolescent psychopathology. She has 10 scientific publications in the area of psychopharmacology in children, adolescents and adults and is a sought after public speaker for conferences and education seminars across the country.

Dr. McDonnell is best known for her research and clinical work with children, adolescents and adults with ADHD, Anxiety and Mood Disorders. She specializes in the medication management of difficult to treat children and adolescents and is passionate about her work with youth and adults in the community.

HeadshotAnne Marie Mingolelli, DNP, PMHNP-BC, APRN-BC, RN, is a Nurse Practitioner nationally certified to provide psychiatric services to children, adolescents, and adults. She received her MSN and NP certification in Adult Primary Care Medicine from Simmons College and her CAGS and NP certification in Family Psychiatric Medicine from Northeastern University.  She also received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from Northeastern University.  Dr. Mingolelli has worked in the mental health field for several years, providing both psychopharmacological services and therapy for a variety of psychiatric illnesses. In addition, she has worked as a co-investigator on clinical trials of new psychiatric medications.  Prior to her work in this area, she provided both primary care and occupational medical care to adolescents and adults in the hospital, urgent care, and clinic settings.  Additionally, she has worked as a certified school nurse for many years, attaining an educational licensure and gaining extensive experience in the educational setting, including the field of special education.  

Dr. Mingolelli has mentored graduate nurse practitioner students and student nurses in the clinical area and provided training to school staff, as well as acting as a mental health resource to staff members.   She is also an adjunct faculty member for Northeastern University.  In addition to her work in the mental health and educational fields, she has conducted research in the area of school re-entry for children and adolescents following inpatient psychiatric treatment.  She is currently involved in development of a statewide procedure for the re-entry process, along with promoting the role of the school nurse in school re-integration planning.

 


HeadshotJennifer Finnerty RN, BA, BSN, MSN, PMHNP - BC, is a compassionate licensed psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who treats children, adolescents, adults, and elderly individuals. Jennifer has special clinical interests in anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and trauma and how to treat with a natural mind body approach. She obtained her Bachelors degree in the Science of Nursing and her Masters degree in the Science of Nursing from Regis College and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame. Jennifer has a varied clinical psychiatric background, with extensive experience at Boston Medical Center, High Point Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. She utilizes genetic testing upon request.

Jennifer provides psychopharmacological evaluation, diagnosis and interventions, as well as psychotherapy and she encourages lifestyle, social and environmental changes tailored to meet the needs of each individual that she works with.

 


HeadshotMichael Pascale, PMHNP-BC, MSN, RN, is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults. Michael originally graduated from Roger Williams university with his bachelor’s in psychology. Later he found his passion in nursing and graduated with a bachelor’s in nursing from Bay State College in Boston, MA. After receiving his degree, Michael went to work full time at McLean Hospital for nearly four years. There, he worked on a short-term inpatient unit assisting in the care and management of a 22-bed unit. At McLean, Michael worked with a diverse variety of acute psychological presentations including major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, trauma related disorders, substance misuse, and more. After earning his master’s degree to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Northeastern University in 2022, he has found a passion for teaching in addition to caring for his patients. He has since acted as a preceptor through Northeastern University, training nursing students on various units at McLean Hospital. Michael provides psychopharmacological and diagnostic evaluations, and medication management. Michael enjoys working with patients throughout the lifespan and has developed a passion for working with children and adolescents with various neurodevelopmental, emotional, or behavioral concerns. Outside of the office, Michael enjoys cooking gourmet meals, playing golf, and playing frisbee with his Golden Retriever, Nala.

 


HeadshotStephanie Doyle Grant, MSN, BSN, RN, PHMNP- BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, providing psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and adults. Stephanie received her Bachelor of Science from Mount Ida College in 2016 and began working as a Mental Health Specialist at McLean Hospital in Belmont MA. She continued her professional development through McLean Hospital, received her BSN – through Northeastern University and began working as a Registered Nurse at McLean Hospital. After a year of being a Psychiatric Registered Nurse, Stephanie went on to pursue her Master of Science at Northeastern University with a specialty in Psych/Mental Health. Through her education at Northeastern University, Stephanie completed her precepting hours with Dr. Mary Ann McDonnell at South Shore Psychiatric Services, PC and fell in love with the practice. 

Once graduating from the Master of Science program at Northeastern, Stephanie completed an extensive 3 – month fellowship through McLean Hospital in which she stepped into the role of a psychiatric nurse practitioner on an inpatient psychotic disorders division unit. While doing so, she also worked alongside PACT (outpatient care) through the hospital. Stephanie approaches care with compassion, empathy and encompasses a background with extensive experience in various mental health diagnoses. Stephanie will provide psychopharmacology evaluations/medication management, while also including diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders. She also offers psychotherapy. Stephanie has experience in working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of mood disorders and psychotic disorders. Stephanie is passionate in this field, provides therapeutic care for individuals and their families and will instill hope and positivity throughout care.
